What is The Conversation?

The Conversation was started by a group of like minded people, passionate about helping locals to open the dialogue on the topic of death, dying and funeral options. Many people are unaware of the options they have at the end of their lives and often find it difficult to talk about or even bring up the topic for discussion. Based in the Southern Downs, the group holds information sessions on a monthly basis and occasionally speaks also to clubs and groups on request.

When a death is registered with the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, there is a lot of information requested. Some questions relate to the person that has died and others are about their family history. Download this document to get an idea of what questions will be asked by a funeral director.

This download is the actual personal details form used by Rest Funerals & Death Care. While there is no obligation to use their services, you can still download the form and use it to fill in the information, making it easier for your family or estate to lodge at the time.

A death must be registered to use this free service. This government initiative helps people get in touch with multiple organisations using a single online notification.
